Nor-Cal Jazz 2017
April 28 - We are proud to bring 'Bogg' to the POPS Performing Arts Center in historic Dunsmuir. These young guns from Chico are sure to get the town talking as they bring an innovative style of Funk, Fusion and Jazz to the intimate setting at POPS.
Formed in the summer of 2012, 'Bogg' has 5 albums under their belt. Collectively, Bogg's members have performed and recorded on over 20 albums with upwards of 25 bands throughout the North State. Bogg and its members have also received assorted local accolades including best jazz act twice, best bassist, best keyboardist, and best horn player.
Bogg is Josh Hegg on Keyboard, Madison DeSantis on Drums, Gavin Fitzgerald on Bass, Matthew Weiner on Violin and Ethan Swett on Guitar. Check them out here.

April 30 - Nor-Cal Jazz returns to the Sierra Nevada "Big Room" for a fantastic show with local Blues Legend "Lazy Lester". His 1958 hit "Sugar Coated Love' launched Lester to become a true national treasure and is featured in Martin Scorsese film "The Blues', in 2003. Check out "Sugar Coated Love - 1958 click here.
And from Oakland, Bassist Kurt Ribak and his Quartet. Kurt is fresh off his latest album " I Got One More' which is getting airplay on jazz stations across the country. Kurt says what he's trying for in his music is ;"Mingus meets The Meters". Performing in clubs and festival throughout California, his visit to Chico is sure to be a memorable night in hot jazz. July 22 - Nor-Cal Jazz returns to historic Weaverville, CA for another wonderful afternoon in beautiful "Lee Fong Park". This year's festival features the high energy sound of "Bogg", vocal duo "Allison Scull and Victor Martin" and the BIG sound of "The Delbert Bump Hammond B-3 Trio". Doors at 4pm, show at 4:30. There will be food booths, arts and craft vendors, wine tasting, beer booth and more. September 23 - We are thrilled to announce the return of clarinet and saxophone virtuoso's Will and Peter Anderson. Joining Will and Peter will be guitarist Alex Wintz. The boys will playing at the 23rd Annual Oroville Salmon Festival.
Joining these virtuoso Saxophone and Clarinet players is Alex Wintz on Guitar. This is not to be missed. These identical twins will 'blow' the room away with there beautiful melody and skills. This is one of those nights to bring young people to, and see what America's Music is all about. Check these guys out here.
